Capabilities

HTT is backed by more than 20 years experience in design and manufacturing of heat exchangers. This experience is put to use in the manufacturing of prototype heat exchangers for pre-production evaluation.
Various constructtion types include "tube and fin", "parallel flow", "shell and tube" and "plate-type" heat exchangers.
Typical construction materials include aluminum, copper and stainless steel. Joining methods include aluminum brazing, copper brazing, copper soldering, mechanical expansion and tin diffusion. Heat transfer fluids include refrigerants, various liquids and air.
HTT has expertize in heat exchanger component design, component manufacturing, assembly, fixturing, cleaning, brazing furnace profile settings and quality control.
HTT has designed many unconventional heat exchangers.

.
For example:
.
.
1. Brazed aluminum header and tank design with special flow circuiting resulting in 10% performance improvement
.
.
2. 0.8mm OD tube miniature heat exchanger
.
.
3. Cylindrical heat exchanger using copper foam as fins
.
.
4. Cylindrical heat exchanger using heat pipes and aluminum fins
.
.
5. Parallel flow heat exchanger using extruded copper microchannel tubes brazed to serpentine copper fins
HTT is working with numerous academic institutions on the development of new technologies and their associated heat exchangers.

  • Flat tubes with serpentine ouvered fins into headers and tank assembly
  • Flat extruded tubes with serpentine louvered fins into manifolds
  • Brazing fixture design
Heat exchanger brazing:
  • In-house furnace: Face area up to 20" wide by 20" long, any tube depth and manifold option.
  • Off-site furnace: Face area up to 30" wide x 120" long, 18 and 25.4mm tube depth options, single and double row construction
.
.
Heat exchanger testing:
  • Hydrostatic testing to 200bar (3000psi)
Note: Some capabilities are outsourced locally when in-house equipment is incapable of performing the desired work, for example, due to size limitation.
